Abstract Mixed Media Wall Art

Description

This is a striking abstract mixed media wall art piece, likely from the mid to late 20th century, characterized by its bold use of red as a primary color. The artwork appears to be constructed on a panel, possibly wood or composite, divided into four sections. It features a dynamic composition with black and gold abstract elements, including a prominent sharp, angular form resembling a bird or a stylized letter, and a vertical band with a textured, possibly metallic or aged paper overlay. Circular motifs and scattered dark spots add further visual interest. The surface exhibits signs of intentional texture and layering, with some areas showing crackling and distressed effects, contributing to its unique, aged aesthetic. The overall style suggests an abstract expressionist or modernist influence, with a raw, industrial, or even tribal undertone.
